Little Girl, 5, Paralyzed & Unable To Speak From Terrifying Enterovirus

How sad. The mother of a little girl is revealing the horrifying things that have happened to her daughter since she was diagnosed with the mysterious Enterovirus 68.

Kinley Galbreath, 5, was a happy and healthy little girl before contracting Enterovirus 68. Now, she is unable to move or speak, and her mother, Kim Nichols, has decided to share her daughter’s story as a precaution to parents everywhere.

Girl, 5, Can No Longer Walk Or Talk Due To Enterovirus 68

This scary disease continues to haunt the lives of young children and their families everywhere.

For the first time, the mother of a 5-year-old in Alabama is revealing how Enterovirus 68 has ruined her little girl’s life.

Kim Nichols shared that her daughter, Kinley Galbreath, is now paralyzed from her shoulders to her legs. This horrifying change has left her confined to her bed in the intensive care unit inside the Children’s Hospital of Alabama.

“On the third day is when she lost movement from her legs down. The only thing she’s had control of has been her toes. And that’s what she wiggles to let me know something’s wrong. And she’ll blink her eyes for yes, and won’t blink her eyes for no,” Kim told ABC in a heartbreaking interview.

Little Kinley is surviving on a ventilator. The difference between what she looked like before contracting the deadly Enterovirus, and what she looks like after while in the hospital, is alarming.

Doctors First Thought Kinley Had A ‘Common Cold’
The scariest part of the Enterovirus 68 is that it sneaks up on children out of nowhere.

As Kim explained in her interview, Kinley’s doctors originally believed that she was suffering from a simple “common cold” before realizing that it was the Enterovirus that was destroying her life before their eyes.
